The BBC joins the Grand Coalition with a pledge that contributes to an innovative digital sector and the Digital Single Market. By April 2015, the BBC will remove geo-blocking from the BBC website academy section on all training and development material. As a result they will open access to circa 1000 videos, 500 blog posts and 1700 articles from career profiles for school leavers to Data Analytics for industry specialists. By doing so, the BBC pledges the website will reach to 2.5 million users by  2016, more than a 10% increase in users. Furthermore, the BBC will create more than 20 placements pa, in BBC Research & Development across many levels of studentship/internship. This is equivalent to  more than 10% of R&D staff.
